Use the following checklists for a visual inspection of your building.

 

Basic Checklist contains questions to be answered digitally on-site. Finish your assessement by receiving a summary of your documentations.

Detailed Checklist contains questions that needs a more profound knowledge to be answered. Print the checklist and go through each question for a more detailed visual inspection of your building.

Professional experience is required for an advanced visual inspection that specifies how, what, why, and where to look for occuring damages, possible remedial actions, or effects of the surroundings.

Further, it is advisable to test the capillary water absorption before your visual assessement.

 
 
 

Done - now what?

If the visual assessment indicates that insulation is feasible, the next step is to move further to insulation systems, or to start collecting input data for the RIBuild Insulation calculator tool.
